In this tutorial, I would be showing you how to make a bracelet out of fondant. This is a great accompaniment for your fashion themed cakes like the Dressed Igbo Woman Cake below. Before going on with this tutorial, you should check out my tutorial on how to make fondant pearl necklace (found here). That tutorial will give you a general understanding on now to shape the pearls out of fondant and string them together.

(2) Cut out 2 cm by 1 cm ivory colored rectangular fondant. You would need 4. Also cut out a square 2 cm by 2cm. Shape a bigger pearl and stick it to the square.

(4) Start creating the bracelet by threading the components together as shown below. I later on reduced the number of pearls in a row from 4 to 3 for a smaller bracelet.

Thanks Terry once again for this lovely tutorial.one question not if its a silly one. What food color gel did u use to get the shade of the beads?

  7. Dee says:

Hello Terry it’s me again is it better to use fondant for the beads instead of gum paste(fondant and tylose)

  8. Dee says:

Yeah it gets the fondant harder quicker,so i tried this last night and it was not just working. i realized 2 errors i made.1st as i dnt use the 1A nuzzle i should not have used the same measurements for the rectangles, then the 2nd error was i dnt use enough thread on one of my needles so got stuck. trying it again the 2nd time 🙂

Hi Terry, I’ve been following your tutorials and I noticed that you fondant looks so shiny after covering. Please how do you achieve that?

Is there anything am missing as I only use gelatin, CMC, glucose and icing sugar.
