Fondant Beads Bracelet Tutorial
In this tutorial, I would be showing you how to make a bracelet out of fondant. This is a great accompaniment for your fashion themed cakes like the Dressed Igbo Woman Cake below. Before going on with this tutorial, you should check out my tutorial on how to make fondant pearl necklace (found here). That tutorial will give you a general understanding on now to shape the pearls out of fondant and string them together.
TOOLS:
(1) Fondant Cutter
(2) Needles and Thread
(3) Paint Brush
(4) Rolling Pin.
EDIBLE COMPONENTS:
(1) Fondant
(2) Color Paste
(3) Gold Luster Dust
(4) Vodka
(5) Shortening for shaping pearls
PROCEDURE:
(1) Make pearls using the technique explained in the link I gave you earlier. Leave them to dry for about 6 to 12 hours before continuing.
(2) Cut out 2 cm by 1 cm ivory colored rectangular fondant. You would need 4. Also cut out a square 2 cm by 2cm. Shape a bigger pearl and stick it to the square.
(3) Thread 3 needles.
(4) Start creating the bracelet by threading the components together as shown below. I later on reduced the number of pearls in a row from 4 to 3 for a smaller bracelet.
(5) When you are done, allow this to dry on a flat surface overnight.
(6) Mix vodka with gold luster dust and brush the ivory details with this. Allow this to dry.
(7) Tie the ends of the threads together to form bracelet.
(8) The bracelet can how be used on your cakes.
Hmmmm! New ideas everyday.
Thanks for the inspirations

Thanks Terry once again for this lovely tutorial.one question not if its a silly one. What food color gel did u use to get the shade of the beads?
No silly questions. Wilton Red.
Hello Terry it’s me again is it better to use fondant for the beads instead of gum paste(fondant and tylose)
I have never worked with gum paste before so can’t say. I however hear it is best for jobs like this.
Yeah it gets the fondant harder quicker,so i tried this last night and it was not just working. i realized 2 errors i made.1st as i dnt use the 1A nuzzle i should not have used the same measurements for the rectangles, then the 2nd error was i dnt use enough thread on one of my needles so got stuck. trying it again the 2nd time 🙂
Awww. Hoping it works out great this time around.
waow!!! but please how can i make that hair gear?
The tutorial can be found here.

Marshmallow fondant is a type of fondant which works exactly the same way as regular fondant.
