Baby Shower Cake with Baby Shoes
I made this baby shower cake for a close friend and his wife. They were expecting a baby and were not aware of the sex. They thus wanted a cake which was neutral. The challenge was in picking out the right color for the cake. I finally settled for a two tier moss green cake with fondant baby shoes. It was a hit and the parents to be were absolutely thrilled to see their cake.
The top tier is a 6 inch red velvet cake frosted with creamcheese frosting. The bottom tier is an 8 inch Nigerian cake frosted with vanilla buttercream. All the design work was done with marshmallow fondant.
