Lovebirds Wedding Anniversary Cake
I made this cake for a friend who was celebrating her wedding anniversary. She wanted a small cake to share with her family on the special occasion. I decided to think outside the box and create something special and different for the couple. They loved it so very much.
The cake itself is a coconut cake (recipe soon) frosted with coconut butter cream (recipe soon) . All the design work was done with marshmallow fondant.
On top of the cake is a pair of lovebirds to symbolize the union. I have a pictorial here on how to make the lovebirds.
The cake is wrapped with white letters with the word “LOVE” standing out in red. I used a letter mold to create these letters. Took forever 🙂
Around the top of the cake is wreath with white flowers, butterflies and leaves.
On the base of the cake is a white carnation flower. Tutorial here.
I will be posting a tutorial soon on how this cake was made. Do watch out for that.
