Ask any baker and they will tell you an order they get a lot is for Frozen themed cakes. Kids love Frozen and the web is filled with different Frozen cake designs. I have had the opportunity of making 2 Frozen cakes, both with an Olaf topper. The cake featured in this post is one of them. As you can see from from the picture below, I also had the option of using a 2D Fondant Elsa for this cake. Which do you prefer? The Elsa or the Olaf topper?

The cake itself is a 7 inch two tier red velvet cake frosted with creamcheese frosting. The top tier is a half tier. All the designs were done with marshmallow fondant, including the Olaf topper. I have a post here on how I made the Olaf topper. A post on how the white fondant overlay was made can be found here. Below are other views of this cake.

        Hi Terry,

Please any tutorial on how the white fondant covering the blue fondant was done? Thanks so much

        • Terry Adido says:

No I don’t. If I can explain the process, you wrap the side of the cake with fondant; roll out white fondant and drape over the top of the cake with some fondant hanging over the sides; use a very sharp blade to cut out the pattern; brush underneath parts of the white fondant with water so it sticks to the cake.
