Fondant Olaf Pictorial
Olaf is a fictional snowman character from Frozen, an animated movie. In the pictorial below, I will be showing you how I make Olaf using 100% Marshmallow Fondant. This serves as a great topper for Frozen themed cakes. I must confess that shaping the head is not a very easy task, but with care and practice, you should be able to do it. You will notice that I left the body parts to rest horizontally for a while before passing them through a lolly pop stick. The drier your fondant is, the more likely it will hold its shape when placed in an upright position. You might need to use some type of support for the upright mold at the back until it dries. In place of floral wires, I made use of spaghetti to stick the nose to the face and make the hands. The buttons were made with black sugar pearls.
