Fondant Avatar: the Last Airbender Book Cover Pictorial
This is a pictorial on how I made the book cover for an Avatar: the Last Airbender Cake. Several pictures of this cake can be found here. I will be posting a tutorial soon on how the complete cake was made. As you will see below, this book cover was made entirely from Marshmallow Fondant using my 2D Fondant Topper creation method. It is advisable to make this book cover at least 2 days ahead of the cake itself as it needs some time to dry. The cake itself measured 8 x 11 inches. The book cover measured 8.5 x 11.5 inches. The extra allowance is to make room for the cake frosting and first layer of fondant. Also worth noting is the fact that I bent the bottom right angle of the book cover to make it look like the book had been read quite a bit.

END NOTES
(1) If you are making a stack of books, the bottom covers should be made on cake cards. This is so they rest on the dowels.
Well done Boss, please the method use in the tutorial what is it called…
