Buttons Cake
Ever heard of the expression “Cute as a Button”? Well, that’s exactly what this cake is: cute as a button. A friend’s daughter was celebrating her second birthday and I made a cake for her to share with her friends. I chose to go with something simple but chic. I fiddled with the idea of doing something with buttons, lots of them, and that’s how this cake was conceived.
The cake itself is a type of cake called Nigeria Wedding Cake, the recipe for which I will be posting in future. It was frosted with Vanilla Buttercream and designed with Marshmallow Fondant.
