Winnie the Pooh Cake
This is a cake I made for the birthday of a little Winnie the Pooh fan. I was told repeatedly that the celebrant loved everything Winnie the Pooh and I knew I just had to make Winnie the central focus of the cake. Combined with a lot of other fondant elements like my fondant rainbow, white picket fence and conifer trees, this cake turned out to be a success.
The cake inside is a French Vanilla Sponge cake frosted with Vanilla Buttercream. All the designs on the cake were made with Marshmallow Fondant.
The star of the cake is of course Winnie the Pooh and a pictorial on how Winnie was made can be found here.
At the cake of the cake is a rainbow. You can learn how to make the exact same rainbow following steps here.
There are 2 conifer trees on the cake. A tutorial on how to make these trees can be found here.
At the bottom of the cake are grass bushes which were made simply by cutting out strands of green fondant with a pizza cutter with the base of the fondant kept intact. They completed the field look I was gunning for with the cake design.
