Baby Rump Cake
This was a cake made for a baby shower. It was a great opportunity for me to try something new. Before I made this cake, I had seen a lot of these baby rump cake designs and I must confess I was somewhat intimidated by them. It was thus a relief when I was able to execute one. I have been told the baby has got large toes, well, his mum better be ready to buy large shoes then :-). You can find a tutorial on how this cake was made here.
Technically, this is a two tier cake as the rump forms the top tier. Both cakes are carrot cakes frosted with cream cheese frosting. The designs on the cake were made with marshmallow fondant.
Aside from the impressive rump, this cake also features a large blue bow. A tutorial on how to make this bow can be found here.
Below are a couple of other views of the cake and the cupcakes which accompanied it. A tutorial on how to make the baby booties on the cupcakes can be found here.
Wow Terry!!!! You are just too much!! Kai!!!
