(2) Using some water, stick balls into small clusters. The number of balls in a cluster will depend on how large you want the clouds to be. Its best for the balls to be stacked in 2 layers per cluster for height.

(3) Allow clusters to dry for about an hour so they can firm up a bit.

(4) After an hour, roll out some white fondant using a rolling pin.

(5) Brush the clusters with a little water and drape rolled out fondant over them. Cut off excess fondant.

(6) Stretch out fondant to reveal contours made by the stacked balls of fondant. Use the end of your paint brush or any other tool to define indents and contours.

(7) Fold excess fondant under the cluster to make smooth cloud bases.

Clouds can be used as the are. They can also be inserted into ends of rainbows. See how to do this here.
