Fondant White Tiara with Pink Heart Tutorial
This is a tutorial on how I made the fondant white tiara with pink heart above. This is a lovely tiara to use for princess themed cakes. It is not very difficult to make and is sure to please any princess.
The method of making this tiara is similar to that used in the Sofia the First Tiara below. (Tutorial here).
TOOLS:
(1) Rolling Pin
(2) Sharp Blade/X-Acto Knife
(3) Paint Brush
(4) Small Heart Cutter
(5) Cylindrical Object Covered with Parchment Paper
(6) Wilton Floral Silicon Mold
TUTORIAL:
(1) First, get a picture of a tiara and cut it out to make a template.
(2) Roll out white fondant and cut out the tiara on the fondant using the template.
(3) Cover s cylindrical object with parchment paper and place the fondant cutout on it.
(4) Roll fondant tubes and stick them to the frame of the tiara. The base of of tiara was made using Wilton Floral Silicon Mold. Leave the tiara to dry this way.
(5) When the tiara is dry, remove the mold from the middle. Make a 50/50 mixture of corn syrup and vodka and brush the tiara with it.
(6) Place pink sugar pearls and large fondant pearls on the tiara. The pink heart was made using a small heart cutter. Brush the pink fondant add-ons with the corn syrup/vodka mixture.
(7) Leave the tiara to dry before using. You can also make a scepter using star cutters and pink sugar pearls.
Happy caking!
