Fondant Blossom Flowers Using Circle Cutters
We do not always have flower molds and cutters to create fondant flowers. And sometimes, we just want to make simple flowers. In this tutorial, I will be sharing an easy way of making fondant blossom flowers using circle cutters. These cutters could be fondant, cookie or any other circle cutter.
TOOLS:
(1) Circle Cutters
(2) Rolling Pin
(3) Flower Drying Cups
(4) Paint Brushes
EDIBLE COMPONENTS:
(1) Fondant
(2) Color Paste
(3) Water
(4) Sugar Pearls
PROCEDURE:
(1) Color and roll out fondant. Use a circle cutter to cut 6 fondant circles.
(2) Pinch an edge of 5 of the fondant circles to form petals.
(3) Cut off the excess pinched fondant.
(4) Brush the 6th circle with a bit of water. Stick the 5 petals on circle to form the blossom flower.
(5) Stick sugar pearls to the middle of the flower.
(6) Leave the flower to dry in a flower cup. Don’t have a flower cup? Shape foil paper into cups and dry the flowers on these. You can also use empty apply crates.
(7) Stick the flowers to your decorated cake when they are dry. That’s all there is to it. Happy caking!
